The film shows the history of Bettie Page, the most famous American pin-up model of the 1960s. What is contemporary Polish pin-up and burlesque sociocultural environment? The film will be followed by a short show, a tribute to Bettie Page’s career, performed by the first Polish burlesque artist Betty Q, as well as a meeting with her and the film’s director.
Betty Q has performed in Poland, Europe and at the world’s greatest burlesque festivals (London Burlesque Festival or Burlesque World Games) since 2010. At the Caput Mundi International Burlesque Award she was awarded the Porca Papessa title. Every month she performs in Warsaw with her team Betty Q & Crew. She also regularly appears at the Burlesque Open Scene in Warsaw and Wroclaw. She runs workshops and regular burlesque classes.
