During his masterclass “Authenticity and phenomenon of cinema”, Siergei Loznitsa, together with participants, will discuss the problems of “reality” and “authenticity” in cinema. The lecture will be accompanied by fragments of director’s films. The lecture will be moderated by Michał Chaciński – the art director of the Gdynia Film Festival and a journalist of TVP Kultura.
During this year’s PLANETE+ DOC FF you can see a retrospective Truth of time, truth of the screen … will set you free: 12 x Sergei Loznitsa of Sergei Loznitsa’s ten documentaries: “The Miracle of Saint Anthony” (2012), “Revue” (2008), “Artel” (2006), “Blockade” (2006), “Factory” (2004), “Landscape” (2003), “Portrait” (2002), “The Settlement” (2002), “The Train Stop” (2000), “Today We Are Going to Build a House” (1997), and two features: “In the Fog” (2012) – the FIPRESCI Award at Cannes IFF in 2012; a pre-release screening (official theatrical cinema premiere May 24 2013); and “My Joy” (2010).
