4 000 euros in the mid-length documentaries. Jury members: Eva Küpper, Frank Poulsen Piasecki and Lukasz Maciejewski. The award is funded by the Polish Film Institute.

Eva KüpperBorn 1984 in Belgium. Belgian documentary filmmaker, who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Gent with the award-winning documentary “Whatʼs In a Name”. Her film studies provided her with a broad background in the tradition of both fiction and documentary filmmaking. Shortly following the release of “What's In a Name”, she directed and filmed the 52-minute documentary “King and Queen of Hearts”. Since March 2012 she is also working together with the Canadian director Thomas Wallner as the co-author of Gardenia, “Before the Last Curtain Falls”, a feature documentary project based on the much-feted play “Gardenia” by Alain Platel. Eva is a jury member at several international film festivals. As of May 2012 she became a part-time lecturer for audiovisual production at the University of Gent.Frank Poulsen Piasecki Born 1975 in Denmark. Filmmaker and activist. Graduated as documentary director from The National Film School of Denmark (2001). Poulsen began his film career at a Copenhagen TV network. Worked as director, photographer and scriptwriter, primarily for DR TV. The themes of his work include youth, environment and development issues. Poulsen is well travelled, especially in Africa. In 2012 he co-founded the organization “Doctivist”. Recent Awards: The Green Tenacity Award (San Francisco Green FF, 2012), Justice Award (Berlinale, 2011), Art-House Cinemas Network Award (PLANETE+ DOC FF, 2011). He directed: “Inequalities in Health”, “A Seducers Fall”, “Democracy”, “Guerilla Girl”, “Roma”, “Europa at Stake”.
Łukasz Maciejewski Born in 1976 in Tarnow. Journalist, film and theatre critic. Studied film at the Institute of Audiovisual Arts of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. Works with many dailies and magazines (“Film”, “Gazeta Krakowska”, “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”, “Teatr”, “Notatnik Teatralny”, “Kwartalnik Filmowy”), as well as film portals (“Filmweb.pl”, “Fipresci.org”, “HBO”). Expert of the Polish Film Institute. Member of the Independent Circle of Film Critics of Polish Filmmakers Association, the International Federation of Film Critics Fipresci and the Culture Council of the President of Tarnow. Moderator, juror and co-organiser of Polish and European film festivals. Curator of the film section of the Isola Del Cinema festival since 2012. Gives lectures on the history of Polish cinema. Winner of many journalist awards.
