About the film

Joanna is an attractive and intelligent woman. In August 2010, she finds out that she is at death’s door and going to die within the next three months. She promises to her 5-year-old son, Jaś, that she will do her best to survive as long as possible. She is fighting her illness then. It is for Jaś that she starts writing a blog, which gains in great popularity. The blog describes her life struggle honestly and accurately. Despite her doom, she loves life, and she knows how to appreciate it. For many people, she becomes an icon of thoughtful and blissful life. Her goals are as mundane as the Masurian Lakes family trip. Her planning as short-term as witnessing her son’s first successful two-wheel bike ride. The documentary depicts pieces of everyday existence of Joanna, her husband Piotr, and Jaś. Discreet and stirring. In few words and observations. Essential and sensuous. A story of thoughtfulness in death, life and love.
