Awards ceremony, premiere of the Michael Madsen’s film “The Average of the Average”, and a multimedia concert by Popkultura

After the results are announced and the awards are presented to the winning filmmakers, there will be a premiere screening of Michael Madsen’s new film "The Average of the Average", shot in 3D.
The Danish director is already familiar to the PLANETE+ DOC FILM FESTIVAL audience thanks to his film “Into Eternity”, for which he has received the 2010 PLANETE+ DOC FILM FESTIVAL Green Warsaw Award for the best film on ecology-related issues. His latest movie “The Average of the Average” is the first Danish film shot in 3D. The film focuses on a little Danish town. The director was inspired by a museum project that, counter to regular museum practices, collects evidence of today’s mundane, everyday life. Each one of the film’s twelve chapters tells a story of a different phenomenon – catalogued in keeping with scientific protocol – that could in the future serve as a testament of our times.
The evening will be opened with a multimedia show by POPKULTURA.
POPKULTURA played their first big concert at the Heineken Open’er Festival in Gdynia in 2010, but their breakthrough performance – in a new line-up – took place on September 20, 2011, at the Coke Live Music Festival in Cracow.
POPKULTURA is, above all, Maciek Olbrych – the incredibly talented front man, singer, keyboard player, composer, and author of all the lyrics. He is joined by excellent musicians: the dynamic duo Rafał Dutkiewicz on drums and Kamil Momendecki on bass, dazzling Marcin Zawadziński on guitars and energetic Evgeni “Zhenia” Fomenko on solo guitar.
Their performance at the closing gala of the PLANETE+ DOC FILM FESTIVAL is one of the key events promoting their first album. The band will present their new hits as a multimedia spectacle in which music, words and visualizations form a cohesive and artistically original whole.
