Doc Next@PLANETE+ DOC FILM FESTIVAL

May 12-13, Kinoteka, Café Kulturalna

Doc Next Network is a groundbreaking movement uniting independent cultural organizations from the UK, Spain, Holland, Poland and Turkey, whose members implement various programs and work as curators, researchers, producers, instructors or cultural entrepreneurs supporting documentary film-making of the young generation. Doc Next Network serves as an innovative link between the world of free culture and that of the traditional art market. Doc Next Network collects documentary films about contemporary Europe as seen by the young filmmakers. For more information, go to: www.docnext.network.e.org.pl

Doc Next Special Screenings
The Doc Next film series will present DIY films created by young European filmmakers. Short-feature films presented at this year's PLANETE+ DOC FILM FESTIVAL result from the course of workshops for young people (aged 18 to 30) that were conducted by partner organizations of the international Doc Next Network. The filmmakers present intimate stories, surprising viewers with the films' sublime imagery, universality of the issues discussed and unique sense of humor.
Young filmmakers often document people closest to them (family, friends or neighbors) and share their personal perspectives on contemporary Europe, creating uncompromising political remixes. Filmmakers featured in the series are very familiar with the small-screen environment and open license distribution. Doc Next is meant to connect them to new, multi-generational festival audiences.

10 Minutes of Intelligent Conversation
Sunday, May 13, 2-5 p.m.,Cafe Kulturalna festival club ,Palace of Culture and Sience

If we were to hand you a book and give you 10 minutes to read it, you would think it is not enough time. Perhaps you would be able to read into at least one paragraph. And what if we were to tell you that the book you have in front of you is actually a person: an artist, social activist or writer? Wouldn't the 10 minutes be enough to remember a few important sentences that you can use in your own endeavors? We present you with “10 minutes of Intelligent Conversation”, a live library that we will fill with Books invited especially for you. Our guests will be waiting for you at 12 tables, each of which can be joined by 2-3 people. Every 10 minutes you will change seats (and tables).
Prepare for these meetings well – the guests we invited can give you advice, inspire to conduct specific projects or simply tell you about their own artistic and career paths.
Participation in the meeting on a first-come, first-served basis!
