Harun Farocki's First Time in Warsaw. Exhibition and Film Retrospective is the first comprehensive presentation of works by the German video artist and documentary filmmaker, who is considered one of the most interesting contemporary artists. His art focuses on analyzing reality and is a reflection on the state of contemporary visuality of culture and politics.

“With a penetrating and critical intelligence Farocki probes ambiguities as well as deceptions, revealing both actions taken and the way actions are pre-determined by social practices. If you are looking for a model for a radical documentary practice, pass by the television smart talk … and engage with the powerful and demanding work of Harun Farocki.”
(Tom Gunning, University of Chicago)

“...almost too interesting to be art”
(Ken Johnson about Harun Farocki, The New York Times, 25.8.2011)

Tickets for the exhibition can be purchased in ticket offices of the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle. Regular ticket price is 12 PLN. Free admission on Thursdays.
