Organizer - Against Gravity

Against Gravity is one of the leading arthouse film distribution companies in Poland, founded in Warsaw in 2004. It distributes high-quality documentary and feature films. Its distribution channels include i.a. cinemas, public and private television, VOD, home video and education market. Against Gravity has distributed such titles, as Oscar-nominated "Waltz with Bashir", Werner Herzog's "Encounters at the end of the world", Giorgos Lanthimos' "Dogtooth". In 2011 Against Gravity was nominated for the prestigious Polish Film Institute award for the best distributor of foreign films.

Against Gravity is the organizer of PLANETE+ DOC FILM FESTIVAL (formerly known as Planete Doc Review), one of the major documentary film festivals in Europe gathering over 30 000 viewers every year. Festival takes place each year in May in Warsaw and over 20 venues in Poland. The festival has received the „Key International Film Event of 2009” award from the Polish Film Institute, as well as „Wdecha” award from Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper as Warsaw’s most interesting cultural event of 2008. PLANETE+ DOCFF is a member of the prestigious Doc Alliance – a partnership which emerged as a result of the co-operative effort of six key European documentary film festivals – CPH:DOX Copenhagen, DOK Leipzig, IDFF Jihlava, PLANETE+ DOC FILM FESTIVAL, FIDMarseille and Visions du Reel Nyon (Docalliancefilms.com).
