Paula Bialski i Karol Strzemieczny (Paula i Karol)

Paula i Karol is a musical endeavor of Karol Strzemieczny (musician, sociologist and activist) and Paula Bialski (Ph.D. student at Lancaster, faculty member of the Cultural Studies Department at the Warsaw School of Social Studies and Humanities), who started writing catchy pop-folk songs back in April 2009 to spread their attitude towards making and performing music.
At first they played in Warsaw with strictly acoustic instruments (guitar, violin, glockenspiel, old Casio keyboards). Their concerts – more often than not as 4-piece rather than 2-piece band– are always based on immediate contact with the audience. So far, they have played at a number of festivals both in Poland and in other European countries. In late 2010, the Warsaw-based record company LADO ABC released their first studio album - Overshare.
