Synopsis

The world’s best rugs are Iranian and Iran is the country of beautiful handmade rugs. This is the story of a rug which represents Iran and Iranians today. With a poetic and metaphoric approach, the film takes us on a journey and we fly on this rug to different periods of a troublesome history of an ancient country in the middle-east. It is also through the story of this rug that we get to know different generations of women in a traditional family. From the grandmother who made the rug many years ago, to the granddaughters who inherit it in today’s society in turmoil.
